Mexico City and the Museum of Anthropology
Overview
Our guide will tell you about the Stone of the Sun, also known as the Aztec calendar, the Coatlicue, and many other pieces that showed the thought, life and religion of the different civilizations that developed in ancient Mexico.
Finishing this part of the tour, you will be transported on a panoramic tour of Avenida Reforma, where you will see monumental sculptures that have given shape and identity to our city, such as the Angel of Independence, Diana the Huntress and more recently, the creation of the Column of the Bicentennial.
Upon reaching the Historic Center, you will be able to learn more about where the Aztec empire was once settled. Our guide will give you a brief explanation about La Gran Tenochtitlan and the remains that still remain as testimony of its existence. You will walk through some of the busiest streets in the city center, and outside some emblematic buildings such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace and the Palace of Fine Arts.
